Codat expands its coverage to support WooCommerce!

The new integration will bring our total number of supported commerce data sources to 5

WooCommerce is a customizable, open-source eCommerce platform built on WordPress. It offers a wide range of features including payments, marketing, shipping & fulfilment and monitoring & security tools.

The integration maps merchant data from WooCommerce to Codat’s commerce data model and makes it available via our simple, developer-friendly API.

For an up-to-date list of the software Codat supports please see our docs.

Coverage

With over 5 million users across the world, WooCommerce services a range of businesses, from small merchants to large brands & agencies. They emphasise the customizability of their platform over other eCommerce options, making them a common choice for businesses with specialist requirements.

What data are we pulling?

You can use Codat’s API with WooCommerce to securely connect to, retrieve, and view your customers’ commerce transactions, including:

  • Company info – details of a linked merchant, such as their address, phone number, and store currency.
  • Customers — details of customers who have placed orders with the company.
  • Orders — details of all orders received by a company, including payments, service charges, and refunds.
  • Products — details of the products a company has available on the system, including the price and quantity of those products, and product variants (where available).

Clients are able to access the above data either via our API or by using the Codat Portal. This will allow clients to extract key metrics such as:

  • Gross Sales Revenue
  • Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR)
  • Churn Rates

Who will stand to benefit?

This latest integration is ideal for new and existing clients who are looking to use merchant data to inform their decisions, such as lenders, or those who want to build process automations, such as account reconciliation, using real-time and immutable payment data.

As a result of this integration, SMEs stand to benefit from faster access to credit, more favourable and tailored rates for credit & insurance products, cash flow forecasting and sales analytics features.

What’s next?

We have ambitious plans to continue to expand our coverage to include a number of other commerce data sources, including PayPal and Zettle Food & Drink, in the near future. Visit our Product Roadmap for more information about our future plans or to request additional data types for existing integrations.
