Codat expands its coverage to support Zettle by PayPal!

Codat client zettle by paypal

This latest release brings our total number of commerce integrations to 3, following the introduction of Square and Shopify to the Codat platform.

The integration maps real-time and immutable merchant data from the Zettle platform to Codat’s standardised commerce data model and makes it available via our simple, developer-friendly API.

Coverage

Zettle is one of the largest point of sale systems in Europe with approximately 500,000 small businesses customers. Zettle, which is owned by PayPal, allows businesses to take in-person payments from their customers.

For an up-to-date list of the software Codat supports see our docs.

What data are we pulling?

Codat’s Zettle integration includes the following categories of data:

  • Orders — details of all orders received by a company, including payments, service charges, and refunds.
  • Products — details of the products a company has available in the system, including the price and quantity of those products, and product variants (where available).
  • Customers — details of customers who have placed orders with the company.

Utilising the data derived from up-to-date sales, as well as customer and product information, clients are able to extract key metrics such as:

  • Gross Sales Revenue
  • Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR)
  • Churn Rates

Clients are able to access the above data either via our API or by using the Codat Portal.

Who will stand to benefit?

This integration can be utilised in isolation or alongside alternative data sources, such as accounting and banking, to bolster existing credit decisioning and underwriting processes, enabling lenders and insurance providers alike to benefit from a holistic understanding of their customers’ financial position.

It also presents an opportunity for clients to proactively help their SME customers in their time of greatest need by offering a range of value-added services such as cash flow forecasting, automated account reconciliation and sales analytics features.

What’s next?

Codat will continue to work closely with Zettle to further enhance the capabilities of the integration. In the near future, we’ll be adding the Zettle Food & Drink integration to our Core product. This integration will allow clients to access a separate source of immutable data on their business customers in the hospitality industry.
